This policy describes how ZAPIENS ("we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and app. We are a small edtech project and we take your privacy seriously.
Data we collect
We collect information you provide when you register (for example email and username), and data generated when you use the app (for example progress, scores, and collections you create). We also collect certain technical data from your device, such as device type, an anonymous device identifier (device_id), and operating system version, to run analytics and improve reliability. If you upload a profile avatar image, we store and process that image to display your account. We do not sell your personal data.
How we use your data
We use your data to run the service (e.g. save progress, show leaderboards), improve the product (e.g. fix bugs, add features), and communicate with you (e.g. account and product updates). We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation and, if you consent, for analytics (e.g. to understand how visitors use the site). You can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
Third-party services
We rely on the following categories of providers (each has its own privacy policy and may process data on our behalf): • Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and file storage for your account and content. • Sentry (sentry.io) — error and crash reporting so we can diagnose issues and improve stability. • Google Analytics 4 (analytics.google.com) — usage analytics to understand how the website and app are used. • OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) — generation of educational content with artificial intelligence when you use related features. • NSFWJS — client-side image moderation on your device; images you select for that check are analyzed locally and are not sent to external servers for moderation. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, or delete your account and data from the app or by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA or other regions with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights (e.g. portability, objection, lodging a complaint with a supervisor).
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by going to Settings → Delete account in the app, or by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.
Children's privacy
ZAPIENS is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
